Lady Rams edge past Lady Panthers

Roy-Hart pushed across a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to nip visiting Newfane 6-5 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game.

Barker downed CSAT 11-3 in the only other game as the Akron at Albion contest was postponed due to wet grounds.

Celebrating Senior Day, Roy-Hart’s lone senior,Rachael Rausch, tripled and came home on a single by Lexie Lovewell in the seventh as the Lady Rams improve to 4-2.

Newfane had tied the game at 5-5 with a run in the top of the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Cassidy Geise.

Maddie Fry had 3 hits for Roy-Hart as Kayla Brown and Maddy Glena both added 2. Glena doubled in a run during the Lady Rams three-run third inning. She also singled in a run in the fifth as did Brown following a triple by Fry.

Katie Kneeland had 2 hits for Newfane.

Barker 11, CSAT 3
Breaking away from a 2-2 deadlock, Barker scored 5 runs in the fifth inning to key the win over CSAT. A two-run double by Kylie Miller highlighted that decisive rally.

Miller and Abby Bachman both had 2 hits on the day including a double.

Erika Moeller went the distance in the circle for the Lady Raiders allowing 4 hits and striking out 9.
