Lady Rams down Mustangs; Purple Eagles win in a walk off over Lakewomen in N-O softball

A strong pitching performance keyed Roy-Hart to a 5-1 victory over visiting Medina this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game.

Reanna Perkins hurled a no hitter with 16 strikeouts in the circle for Roy-Hart.

At the plate, Perkins also banged out a two-run single to highlight a four run fourth inning as errors plated the other two runs.

Perkins and Shelby Wolf both had two hits on the day.

Roy-Hart and Medina are now both 2-1 in N-O action.

Albion 9, Wilson 8

Albion scored a 9-8 walk off victory over visiting Wilson to regain the .500 mark at 2-2 in N-O action.

Snapping an 8-8 tie, Albion scored the game winner in the last of the seventh on an error after a walk and singles by Ryan Olles and Kenzi Hapmen had loaded the bases.

Rebounding from a 6-0 deficit, Albion battled back to take an 8-6 lead by scoring three runs in the third inning, one in the fourth and then four in the fifth. Bryne Dysard, Faith Woody, Olivia Bieber, Olles, Hapeman and Aly Knaak all had hits to key the big fifth inning uprising.

Wilson did retie the contest at 8-8 by scoring two runs in the sixth keyed by a single by Tori Pawlak and an error.

Hapeman finished with three hits as Knaak, Woody, Dysard, Olles and Emani Poole each had two and Leah Pritchard a double. In the circle, Pritchard registered six strikeouts.

Pawlak and three hits and Rian Faery two for Wilson which is now 1-2.
