Lady Rams down Mustangs

Notching league victory No. 10, Roy-Hart downed Medina 15-3 at Vets Park this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans softball game.

Breaking away from an early 1-1 deadlock, Roy-Hart moved on top to stay by erupting for 5 runs in the third inning on a two-run single by Samantha Choate, a pair of errors and a run producing sacrifice bunt by Delaney Draper.

The Lady Rams also had a big 7 run seventh inning uprising highlighted by a two-run single by Kayla Brown and RBI singles by Jamie Bower, Rielly Albee and Maddy Glena.

Ryenn Oliver and Alisha Scroger both had doubles and Destiny Satkowski a pair of hits on the day for Medina.

Roy-Hart is now 10-3 and Medina 7-5 in N-O action.

Medina nipped Roy-Hart 6-5 in the JV game as Cora Payne struck out 10 and Ashlee Howell had 3 hits and scored the winning run.

Albion 8, Barker 5
Meghan Hurley had a huge day at the plate to lead Albion past Barker 8-5.

Hurley banged out 4 hits including a three-run homer, a solo shot, a double and a single helping the Purple Eagles improve to 7-6 in N-O competition.

Barker slips to 3-10.

Akron 26, Wilson 3
Abby Stone had 5 hits and 11 RBIs to power Akron (12-1) past Wilson (3-9) as the Lady Tigers locked up outright possession of the N-O title. Her hits included two home runs, a triple and a double.
