Lady Rams down Lady Raiders

Steadily pulling away, Roy-Hart posted a 42-25 win over visiting Barker this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball game.

Rileigh McCabe and Mya Quinn each scored 8 to lead Roy-Hart’s balanced attack as Claire Halstead and Ava Owens added 7 and Shelby Wolf 6.

Sydnie Luckman took game high honors for Barker with 17.

Roy-Hart grabbed a 12-8 lead at the end of the opening period on back-to-back layups by Wolf.

The Lady Rams upped the advantage to nine,20-11, at the half and to 14, 29-15, at the three-quarter mark.

Roy-Hart is now 1-1 and Barker 1-2 in N-O action.

Albion 37, Medina 18

Albion evened its N-O record at 1-1 with a 37-18 win over visiting rival Medina.

Honesty Little had 9 points and 7 rebounds and Ryan Olles 8 points and 7 rebounds for the Purple Eagles which led 21-10 at the half.

Faithann Vanderwalker scored a game high 10 points for Medina which is now 0-3.

Wilson 39, Akron 36

Defending champion Wilson improved to 3-0 with a narrow 39-36 win over Akron which is now 1-1.
