Lady Rams blank Mustangs

A quick two goal scoring burst midway through the second half earned Roy-Hart a 2-0 victory over Medina this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game at Vets Park.

In other N-O action, defending champion Barker improved to 3-0 by defeating Wilson ((2-1) 5-0 as did Akron with a 7-0 victory over Newfane (1-1).

A goal by Delaney Draper with 16:30 remaining broke a scoreless deadlock for Roy-Hart.

The Lady Rams then added the clincher when Madison Dent tallied just four minutes later off an assist from Rielly Albee.

Roy-Hart is now 1-3 and Medina 0-4.

Barker 5, Wilson 0
Barker jumped out to a 2-0 halftime advantage on goals by Melissa Grosshans and Erin Greenwald.

Second half tallies by Grosshans, Gabby Clare and Elizabeth Luckman capped off the Lady Raiders victory.

Akron 7, Newfane 0
Loriann Blenker and Emily Buckley each had two goals to lead the attack for Akron.

The Lady Tigers also got solo tallies from Sarah Schultz, Ashton Witzleben and Molly Jennings.

Tori Triaga earned the shutout in goal.

N-O Golf

Roy-Hart (3-5) bested CSAT (1-7 )240-277 in a N-O League golf match this afternoon at Beaver Island.

Hogan Lang and Faye Conley shared medalist honors for the Rams with rounds of 43.
