Lady Raiders win Kendall Tournament

Moving on top to stay in the second quarter, Barker went on to defeat the host Lady Eagles 31-22 in the championship game of the Kendall Tournament this afternoon.
All Tournament team honoree Haley Brown scored a game high 15 points and tourney MVP Caitlyn Mason added 7 to lead the offense for Barker which stays undefeated at 3-0 on the young season.
Lindsey Williams chipped in with 4, Courtney Bodine and Kylie Miller 2 each and Emily Annable 1 for the Lady Raiders.
Lizzie Rath scored 6, Bridget Miller 4 and Taylor ReQua, Lyndsay Wright, Daniela Volkmar and Taylor Rutland 3 each for Kendall.
Rath and ReQua were both named to the All Tournament team.

Trailing 7-6, Barker used a 10-5 second period scoring edge to rally into the lead for good by a 16-12 margin at the half. Brown had a three-point play and a rebound bucket and Mason a pair of baskets to key that Lady Raiders surge.
Barker maintained a 23-17 lead at the three-quarter mark as Brown, Williams and Miller each had a basket in the low scoring third period.
Brown then helped to lock up the Barker victory by scoring three baskets in the final stanza as Kendall could get no closer than five at 25-20 and again at 27-22.

In the game for third place honors, Rochester School of the Arts defeated Holley 46-26.
Hayley Rowley scored 7 points, Delilah Grathouse 6 and Madison Marsh 5 for Holley.
Marsh was named to the All-Tournament team.
