Lady Raiders score key N-O field hockey win
Barker knocked Roy-Hart from unbeaten ranks by downing the visiting Lady Rams 4-1 this afternoon in a key Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game.
Barker is now 3-1 and Roy-Hart 4-1 as defending champion Akron, which was idle today, takes over sole possession of first place at 4-0.
Barker built up a 3-0 advantage in the first half on goals by Madison Gancasz, Ciara Gregoire and Lena Fazzolari. Jillian Moeller and Natalie Menz earned assists during that stretch.
Gregoire also netted Barker’s lone second half goal.
Katelin Corra scored for Roy-Hart in the second half.
