Lady Raiders score Homecoming victory

Celebrating Homecoming Barker posted a 2-0 victory over Roy-Hart in a Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game this evening played under portable lights at Barker.
Alexa Zglinicki scored what proved to be the game winning goal for Barker at 7:38 of the opening quarter off an assist from Rachel Sutter.
The Lady Raiders later got a big insurance goal when Mia Herman tallied unassisted with 2:48 to go in the third quarter.
Barker improves to 7-1 and Roy-Hart slips to 5-4.
Akron 6, Medina 0
Front-running Akron improved to 6-0 with a 6-0 win over visiting Medina which is now 4-3.
Lacey Berghorn and Jenelle Kieffer both scored two goals for Akron as Olivia McClaine and Alexandra Roland each chipped in with one.
