Lady Raiders post win over Purple Eagles

Improving to 6-1, Barker downed host Albion 18-7 in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game this afternoon.

Lilly Monthony had 4 hits, Peyton Bradley and Cole Carnes 3 and Mia Herman, Rachel Sutter and Natalie Brandel 2 each for Barker. Herman’s hits included a home run.

Mady Flint and Bradley shared in the pitching duties combining for 11 strikeouts.

Abigail Wittenberg had 3 hits for Albion as Alana Irvine, Kenzi Snook and Cami London each added 2.

In other N-O action Wilson (5-1) downed rival Newfane (0-6) 9-3 and Akron bested Roy-Hart 17-8. Akron erupted for 8 runs in the sixth inning to snap an 8-8 tie. Hayley Hillburn had a double and triple for Roy-Hart which also got 2 singles each from Juliana Buscarino, Peyton May and Adella Dukes.

Kendall 6, Byr0n-Bergen 5

Rallying late, Kendall edged Byron-Bergen 6-5 in 8 innings in a Genesee Region League game.

A triple by Lauren Pilon helped to plate the tying run for Kendall in the seventh inning and a single by Danielle Offhaus drove in the game winner in the eighth. Offhaus had a total of 3 hits and in the circle she allowed just 5 hits and struck out 9.
