Lady Raiders down Lady Tigers

Scoring in every inning, Barker scored a 14-3 victory over visiting Lyndonville this afternoon in a non league softball game.

Mary Rounds led the Barker attack by driving in a total of six runs with two-run singles in both the third and fifth innings and a two-run double in the sixth.

Winning pitcher Erika Moeller, Abby Bachman and Emily Annable each had two hits for Barker which broke the game open with four runs in the fifth inning and three more in the sixth.

The Lady Raiders took the lead for good by scoring three quick runs in the first inning highlighted by a triple by Kylie Miller and singles by Moeller and Bachman.

In the circle, Moeller scattered 5 hits and struck out 8 in five innings of work.

Anna Lewis drove in all three of Lyndonville runs with a triple in the third inning and singles in both the fifth and seventh frames.
