Lady Hornets post win over Lady Tigers

Jumping out to a 13-2 first period lead, Oakfield-Alabama went on to defeat host Lyndonville 42-24 this evening in a Genesee Region League girls basketball game.

Brianna Smith scored 9 points to lead a parade of 10 scorers for the Lady Hornets which went on to hold leads of 20-7 at the half and 34-14 after three quarters.

Aubrey Lewis led Lyndonville with 12 as Jasmine Plummer added 6, Makenzie Muck 5 and Anna Lewis 1.

Attica 29, Kendall 25
Breaking away from a 19-19 deadlock after three quarters, Attica used a 10-6 scoring edge down the stretch to edge past host Kendall 29-25.

Kendall, which trailed 13-12 at the half, did take a 19-15 lead late in the third period after a thee by Taylor ReQua.

Elizabeth Rath scored 8 on the evening for Kendall as Taylor Rutland and Lyndsay Wright both netted 6.
