Lady Hawks win Holley tourney in shootout

The host Lady Hawks outlasted Roy-Hart in a shootout this evening to capture the Holley girls soccer tournament championship.

The game was deadlocked 1-1 at the end of regulation time as Samantha Bates scored for Holley and Kara Choate for Roy-Hart.

Neither team could score in the two overtime periods setting the stage for the decisive shootout.

Emma Brady and Jailyn Bishop scored goals in the shootout to give the Lady Hawks the win.

Layne Walker made 11 saves to earn the shutout in goal for the Lady Hawks.

Reanna Perkins made several big saves in goal for Roy-Hart.

Boys Soccer

Pembroke 4, Roy-Hart 3

Peter Martillotta, Trent Choate and Tyler Stewart each scored a goal for Roy-Hart in the Rams narrow 4-3 non league loss to Pembroke.

Roy-Hart rebounded from a 3-1 deficit to tie the game but Pembroke pulled out the win by scoring a goal off a scramble with 12 minutes to go.

Newfane downed Albion 219-264 in a Niagara-Orleans League golf match today as Kaiden Rose took medalist honors for the Panthers with a 38.

Caleb Fox led Albion with a 46.
