Lady Hawks lock up Div. 1 title with OT win

Putting a lock on outright possession of the Division 1 title, Holley nipped host Oakfield-Alabama 4-3 in overtime in a Genesee Region League girls soccer game this evening.

Alivia Wolf scored the game winning goal for Holley which sent the contest into overtime on a goal by Samantha Bates with just 30 seconds to go in regulation time.

Holley led 2-0 at the half on goals by Emma Brady and Jailyn Bishop.

The Lady Hawks are now 10-1-1 in league play with one game remaining at home on Thursday against Attica.

In another G-R contest, Byron-Bergen downed Kendall 10-0.

Byron-Bergen outlasted Lyndonville in five sets 21-25, 25-11, 21-25, 25-17, 15-6 as Emma Balduf had 5 aces and 3 kills, Olivia Senf 3 kills, Lily Stalica 3 aces and Noel Dormann 3 aces.

For Lyndonville, Addison Dillenbeck had 9 kills and 3 aces, Lorelei Dillenbeck 5 kills and 4 aces, Kate Breeze 5 kills and 3 aces, Haley Shaffer 4 kills and Brianna Smith 4 aces.
