Lady Hawks have five G-R soccer All-Stars

Division I champion Holley has placed five players on the Genesee Region League girls soccer All-Star team.

The Lady Hawks, which went 11-1-1 during the G-R season, are represented by juniors Samantha Bates, Bella Thom and Emma Brady along with sophomores Alivia Wolf and Zoey Wolf.

Bates had 37 goals and 12 assists, Brady 16 goals and 14 assists, Thom 6 goals and 8 assists, Alivia Wolf 2 goals and 5 assists and Zoey Wolf 1 goal and 1 assist.

Holley also had a trio of Honorable Mention selections including Jailyn Bishop, Leigha Walker and Layne Walker, all juniors.

Kendall sophomore Ava Quintern earned G-R All-Star honors. She had 10 goals and 2 assists.

Holley’s Alivia Wolf (11) and Zoey Wolf (12) along with Kendall’s Ava Quintern.

The Lady Eagles also had seniors Emma Quintern, Mary Jones and Lily Lavacca along with junior Angelina Aguirre and sophomore Claire Vandusen earn Honorable Mention.

Lyndonville had a trio of Honorable Mention selections including juniors Michayla Greene and Kayli Miller and sophomore Elizabeth Whipple.

Undefeated (13-0) Division 2 champion Byron-Bergen has placed five players including senior Ava Wagoner, juniors Makenzie Hagen and Emma Starowitz, sophomore Ava Gray and freshman Mia Gray.

Mia Gray, who was named G-R Player of the Year, had 43 goals and 24 assists. Hagen had 33 goals and 22 assists, Starowitz 16 goals and 11 assists, Ava Gray 3 goals and 8 assists and Wagoner 1 goal and 2 assists.

The Lady Bees also had freshman Elizabeth Starowitz earn Honorable Mention.

The G-R All-Star lineup also includes senior Skylar Savage and junior Mackenzie McLeod from Attica; senior Autumn Mathison and junior Emma Sisson from Notre Dame; senior Brooke Reding, juniors Caitlyn Ryan and Macy Altamirano and sophomore Piper Hyde from Oakfield-Alabama/Elba; senior Karli Houseknecht from Pembroke along with senior Grace Braselton, juniors Chene Whitcomb and Emily Parker and sophomore Sienna Mekker from Wheatland-Chili.

Savage had 21 goals and 7 assists, McLeod 7 goals and 6 assists, Mathison 15 goals and 4 assists, Sisson 4 goals and 1 assist, Ryan 15 goals and 3 assists, Hyde 9 goals and 4 assists, Altamirano 8 goals and 5 assists, Houseknecht 14 goals and 4 assists, Parker 16 goals and 13 assists, Whitcomb 8 goals and 4 assists, Mekker 9 assists and Braselton 1 goal.

The Honorable Mention selections also included junior Alexis Marino from Alexander; seniors Mia Ficarella and Kaylie Bugaski from Attica; junior Nina Bartz from Notre Dame; senior Lily Davis, junior Ava Chatt and freshman Alahna Chatt from Oakfield-Alabama/Elba; seniors Ameilla Berghorn, Emma Groff and Isabel Breeden from Pembroke and sophomore Lillian Swavely and eighth grader Vanessa Guerrero from Wheatland-Chili.
