Lady Hawks edge past rival Lady Eagles

All of the scoring came within a five minute span midway through the second half as Holley nipped rival Kendall 2-1 in a Genesee Region League girls soccer game this evening at Holley.
Breaking away from a scoreless deadlock Holley took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Samantha Bates 13 minutes into the second half off an assist from Jailyn Bishop.
Kendall answered right back with the equalizer just two minutes later on a goal by Emma Quintern.
However, Holley in turn answered right back with what proved to be the game winning goal less than two minutes later on a tally by Emma Brady off an assist from Bishop.
Layne Walker made 6 saves in goal for the Lady Hawks.
The contest was the league opener for both teams.
