Lady Hawks earn third victory

Holley outlasted CG Finney this afternoon in a non league softball game as the Lady Hawks improve to 3-1.

Winning pitcher Sarah Wharram helped herself at the plate by banging out three hits, including a double, and driving in four runs.

Bailey Papaj, Brianna VanAmerman, Tabitha Swift and Brianna Barber each added three hits and two RBIs and Leah Baker two hits for the Lady Hawks.

Roy-Hart 9, Barker 0
Roy-Hart opened its Niagara-Orleans League season by blanking visiting Barker 9-0 as Taylor Fry hurled a four hitter with six strikeouts.

Fry also led the Lady Rams at the plate with three hits as Ashley Bower, Sam Brown and Madi Hiddie each added two.

Roy-Hart broke the game open with five runs in the third inning on doubles by Kayla Brown and Hannah Rausch, a single by Sam Brown an a sacrifice by Rachel Rausch.

The Lady Rams later put a lock on the win by scoring four times in the fifth as Bower had a two-run single and Courtney VanBuren an RBI single.

Wilson 16, Medina 6
A big eight run third inning scoring burst keyed Wilson (3-0) to a 16-6 victory over visiting Medina (0-3).

Jen Darlak had four hits, Alissa Dicesare three and winning pitcher Taylor Devole two to lead the Wilson attack. Devole also struck out 10 in the circle.

Mallori Wienke, Emma Ambrose and Bailey Allen all had doubles for Medina.

Newfane 14, Albion 0
Katie Kneeland, Olivia Littman, Brooke Horning and Jerica Detrick each had two hits to lead the way for Newfane (2-1) in the 14-0 win at Albion (0-4).
