It will be a busy first week of competition for the Kendall girls varsity basketball team including a non league opener followed by the Lady Eagles annual tournament.

Kendall will host Rochester Prep in the opener on November 28. The Lady Eagles Tournament will then be held on November 30 and December 2. The first round matchups will have Barker vs. Holley followed by Medina vs. Kendall.

“I kind of like it as it will give us a real good look at where we are at,” said new Coach Lucian Price of the busy opening week. “We’ve got a nice mix of players. The key will be to jell as a group. Our goal in each game will be we want to out work the other team.”

Price, who coached the Albion girls varsity team for the past few years takes, over the Kendall helm after Lady Eagles Coach Jeff Parizek took the job as women’s basketball coach at Genesee Community College.

Anchoring the Kendall lineup will be the veteran quintet of senior Danielle Offhaus, junior Ava LaMay and sophomores Stella Kwiatek, Alea Barrett and Brooke Rodas.

The Lady Eagles graduation losses from last year’s 6-15 team include Lauren Pilon and Taigan Guerrero.

Kendall will open the Genesee Region League season at home against Pembroke on December 6.
