Lady Eagles to host season opening tournament

Veterans Taylor ReQua, left, and Lizzie Rath will lead the way for Kendal which will open the season against rival Holley in the first round of the Lady Eagles Tournament.

A rivalry season opener is on tap as Kendall will host Holley on December 2 in the first round of the Lady Eagles Tournament.

Two returning regulars, junior Lizzie Rath and sophomore Taylor ReQua, will lead the way for Kendall which went 4-11 in Genesee Region League action and 7-13 overall last year.

The Lady Eagles also return seniors Amelia Patrick and Bridget Miller. The team’s other seniors include Maya Rutland, Taylor Rutland, Tabitha Salonen and Jessica Hofer.

The Lady Eagles roster also includes juniors Bailee Nelson, Rachael Bakutis, Emily Mattle, Daniela Volkmar, Jessica Makowski, Alexis Knaak and sophomore Lyndsay Wright.

"We’ll definitely be athletic and we’ll run," said Coach Jeff Parizek.

The Lady Eagles graduated nine seniors including regulars Taylor Kingsbury, Tania Arellano, Kali Haskins and Sarah Gardner.
