It took 100 minutes of soccer for Kendall to claim a narrow 1-0 Homecoming victory over Newark this afternoon in a non league girls soccer game.

Alezya Brown scored her sixth goal of the season just 40 seconds into the second 10 minute overtime period off an assist from T’Mia Kitchings to provide the margin of victory for the Lady Eagles which narrowly missed connecting on several big scoring opportunities in the second half.

Goalie Katie Pearson then made a couple of key stops over the final nine minutes to preserve the win. (Click here to see Pearson make several key saves in the last 5 minutes of the second OT to preserve the win.)

Kendall improves to 8-1 while Newark slips to 7-2.

Second half goals by Halee Passarell and Kayleigh Neale earned Holley a 2-1 Homecoming victory over Eastridge. Olivia Radford had an assist for the Lady Hawks.

Holley improves to 6-3.
