Lady Eagles romp with 18 hit attack
Pounding out 18 hits, Kendall romped to a 21-2 win over Wheatland-Chili in a Genesee Region League softball game Friday.
Izzy D’Agostino, Teagan Shaw and Sophia Picardo each had 3 hits for the Lady Eagles as Alea Barrett, Brynn Hardenbrook and Adriana D’Agostino each had 2.
Gabby Hauptman earned the win in the circle giving up only 2 hits and striking out 3.
Kendall moved on top to stay by scoring 3 quick runs in the first inning on singles by Shaw, Picardo and Ella Cole.
The Lady Eagles then broke the contest wide open by exploding for 11 runs in the second inning. A two-run triple by Brooke Rodas, a two-run double by Shaw and a two-run single by Izzy D’Agostino highlighted that uprising as Picardo, Hardenbrook and Barrett each had RBI singles.
Kendall improves to 3-2 with the win.
