Lady Eagles romp to 10th soccer victory

A quick three goal scoring burst in the first nine minutes ignited Kendall to a 9-0 victory over visiting Pembroke this evening in a Genesee Region League game as the Lady Eagles improve to 10-1 overall on the season.

Hailee Mitchell scored from Brianna Wakefield and then Wakefield and Alezya Brown both tallied off assists from Madison Jacob to give Kendall the quick commanding 3-0 lead.

Another goal by Wakefield gave the Lady Eagles a 4-0 lead at the half.

Grace Levett then scored a pair of goals in the second half as Katie Regan, T’Mia Kitchings and Mitchell each netted one to complete the Kendall scoring parade. Jacob added two more assists during that stretch.

In all 13 different players have now scored goals so far this season for the Lady Eagles as Mitchell has 11, Wakefield 10, Brown 9, Jacob, Levett and Lizzy Woodams 4, Regan and Katie Pearson 2 and Kitchings, Julie Coble, Grace Robinson, Kiersten Rodas and Kari Harrier 1 each.

Now at 7-1 in G-R competition, Kendall next hosts rival Holley at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

In one other G-R game, Wheatland-Chili defeated host Lyndonville/Medina 7-0.
