Lady Eagles post key win over Bees

Maintaining sole possession of first place, Kendall scored a 2-1 victory over host Byron-Bergen this evening in a key Genesee Region League Division 1 girls soccer game.

Breaking away from a 1-1 deadlock, Maya Rutland scored the game winner for Kendall in the second half off assists from Taylor ReQua and Elizabeth Rath.

ReQua also scored the Lady Eagles first goal of the evening in the opening half off assists from Rutland and Coralee Freitag.

Kendall is now 10-1 in the league and 11-1 overall while Byron-Bergen slips to 6-2-3.

Holley 1, CG Finney 0
Holley edged past visiting CG Finney 1-0 in a non league game this evening on a goal by Anne Jewell off an assist from Sam Barniak.

Maddy Papaj earned the shutout in goal.

Wilson 8, CSAT 0
Emily Patterson, Kayla Neumann and Emily Kelly each scored two goals to lead undefeated (10-0) Wilson to a 8-0 victory over CSAT (1-9) in a Niagara-Orleans League game.

Newfane 8, Barker 0
Kaylee Heschke had 3 goals and 2 assists to lead Newfane (8-2) past Barker (0-9-1) 8-0 in another N-O contest.
