Lady Eagles, Lady Tigers have G-R All-Stars

Kendall seniors Alezya Brown and Libby Snyder along with Lyndonville senior Ella Lewis have been named to the Genesee Region League girls basketball All-Star team.

Brown scored 211 points (9.5 average) and also had 182 rebounds, 64 steals and 52 assists.

Snyder led Kendall in scoring with 273 points (13.0 ave.), rebounds with 263 and blocks with 107. She also had 52 steals and 40 assists.

Lewis led Lyndonville in scoring with 286 points  also had 109 steals, 103 assists and 98 rebounds.

Five other Orleans players have earned Honorable Mention on the G-R squad including Kendall seniors Grace Levett and Julia Szczepanski, Holley sophomore Samantha Bates along with Lyndonville senior Karlee Rounds and junior Lorelei Dillenbeck.

The G-R All-Star team also includes juniors Ava Wagoner and Dayanara Caballero from Byron-Bergen, junior Maylee Green and senior Lindsay Weidman from Notre Dame, senior Dakota Brinkman from Elba, seniors Chase Harding and Emily Gersitz from Attica, senior Natalie Whitmore and sophomore Alyssa Kramer from Alexander along with senior Kelsey Schlagenhauf, junior Makena Reding and sophomore Caitlin Ryan from Oakfield-Alabama.

Whitmore, who scored 309 points, was named G-R Player of the Year.

The Honorable Mention selections also include senior Laci Sewar and freshman Sydney Reilly from Elba, junior Karli Houseknecht from Pembroke, juniors Avelin Tomidy and Emma Sisson from Notre Dame, senior Emma Kramer and junior Melanie Pohl from Alexander, junior Brooke Reding from Oakfield-Alabama, sophomore Emily Parker from Wheatland-Chili, senior Emily Gadd from Attica and junior Kendall Phillips from Byron-Bergen.
