A lone early goal proved to be just enough as Kendall edged rival Holley 1-0 in a Genesee Region League girls soccer game this afternoon at Kendall.

Sophia Picardo scored the lone goal for the Lady Eagles just nine minutes into the opening half.

The score could have been high for both teams but Kendall hit the cross bar twice in the first half and Holley missed on two open net opportunities in the second half.

The Lady Eagles improve to 6-0 while the Lady Hawks slip to 4-3-1.
