Lady Eagle spikers best Lady Tigers

Kendall scored a straight set 25-18, 28-26, 25-23 victory over visiting Lyndonville this evening in a Genesee Region League volleyball match.

Alexis Payton had 8 service aces, 4 spiking kills and 4 digs; Sunni Brice 6 aces, 5 assists and 4 digs and Jenna Regan 5 assists and 3 kills to lead the way for Kendall which is now 2-0.

Brice served Kendall out to a quick 4-0 lead in the opening set, a run which featured 2 service aces and a spiking kill by Regan.

Emily Mattle added points 8-10 (2 aces) and Payton 15-17 for the Lady Eagles as Regan served up an ace for the set winner.

Lyndonville did close the gap to 23-18 as Josephine Joy served up points 11-13 and Paige Gardner 15-18).

Kendall then took the second set in overtime and closed out the win with a two point in in the deciding third set.
In another G-R match Byron-Bergen bested Alexander 25-11, 25-22, 25-18 in the Lady Bees league opener.

Lauren Burke had 8 aces, 8 kills, 5 digs and 5 assists; Quinn Chapell 4 aces, 2 kills and 6 digs and Catherine Brumsted 3 aces, 8 assists and 1 kill to lead the way for B-B.

Oliva George had 9 kills and Haley Fletcher 15 assists for Alexander.

Field Hockey

Barker 0, Nichols 0

Barker played to a 0-0 tie with host Nichols this afternoon in a non league game. The Lady Raiders next visit Medina at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in a Niagara-Orleans League contest.
