The Medina lacrosse program completed its free 8 week winter indoor season for players in grades 2-12 this past weekend.  The players who participated in the program are shown here. The focus of the program was to teach players the fundamental skills involved with the sport of lacrosse.  On average, 50 players attended each session.  Varsity players helped out with the younger ones by demonstrating and leading drills as well as coaching teams during controlled scrimmages.  “The sport continues to grow within our district,” said Medina varsity lacrosse Coach Gordy Luthart.  “I am very excited to announce that we will be adding another team to or summer program this year.  We will have 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U teams.  My goal is to have 100+ kids playing lacrosse this summer.”
