KofC crowns district free throw champions

Contributed Photo – The Lockport Knights of Columbus crowned the District Free-throw champions ages 9-14 Saturday at DeSales Catholic School in Lockport. There were twenty local champs from K of C Councils across Niagara County competing for the district title. The winners will now compete for the Western New York title at 1 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady Of Hope Council in Kenmore. The winners at the WNY championship will move on to the Upstate Regional at Bishop Ludden High School in Syracuse, and the winners in Syracuse will move on to the State championship at West Point. The District champions include, in the front row from left, Roger Cordle, Greydon Barnwell, Jessica Slye-Butz, Gabriella Gonzales and Tanner Schultz. In the back row are Henry B. Hughes, Riley Bell, Gracie Cordle and William Rahill.
