Knights Club hockey team tops West Seneca
The Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina/Wilson/Newfane Knights Club Hockey team visited West Seneca Saturday night and came away a 3-2 winner.
After a scoreless first period, West Seneca took the lead very early in the second period 1-0. Later, Austin Woodward (Wilson) scored an unassisted goal for the tie. Just before the end of the period, Gavin Ickowski (Roy-Hart) added another unassisted goal to give RBM the 2-1 lead.
At the 5:31 mark of the final period, Woodward scored the eventual game-winner, a short-handed goal assisted by Max Pilon (Medina).
West Seneca would add another score, but Noah Orenz (Newfane) in goal, along with the RBM defense, held West Seneca off for the remainder of the contest.
The next RBM Wilson/Newfane game is Thursday night at 5 p.m. at Nichols School against the undefeated home team.
