Key soccer matchups on tap this week

First place in the Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer standings will be at stake when Roy-Hart hosts defending champion Newfane at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Gasport.
Roy-Hart and Newfane are now both 5-1. The Panthers blanked the Rams 6-0 in the earlier season meeting at Newfane.
Rivals Holley and Kendall will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kendall for the Eagles Homecoming game. The Lady Eagles will then host Genesee Region League foe Oakfield-Alabama/Elba at 1 p.m. to compete the Homecoming doubleheader.
On the links, the Medina golf team will be looking to lock up the N-O title when the Mustangs visit runner-up Albion at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Hickory Ridge. Medina is 11-0 and Albion 9-1.
N-O cross-country competition begins Tuesday as Medina hosts Albion and Newfane, Barker visits Wilson and Roy-Hart entertains Akron.
On the gridiron, Medina/Lyndonville will host Roy-Hart/Barker at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Vets Park for a B-3 Division Homecoming game; undefeated (4-0) Albion will host Olean in a key B-2 Division contest at 7 p.m. Friday and Holley will visit York at 7:30 p.m. Friday in a Livingston County League game.
