Keppler qualifies for national championships

Medina native Janice Keppler has qualified for the upcoming Indoor National Track and Field Championships in the pole vault.

Keppler placed sixth at the Akron Open elite pole vault competition on Jan. 10 with an effort of 4.3 meters (14 feet, 1 inch) to qualify for the national championships which will be held March 1 in Boston.

Keppler, a Medina High and Arkansas University graduate, is an assistant coach at Villanova University.
