Kendets win OT thriller in Unified basketball

Contributed Photos – The Kendall-Hilton Kendets Unified baseball team had an exciting home opener at Kendall Thursday winning in overtime over Brockport.

The Kendall-Hilton Kendets pulled out an overtime nail biter victory against the Brockport Blue Devils by a score of 31-27 Thursday in the Unified basketball team’s home opener at Kendall.

The Kendets improve to 3-0 on the young season after the intense battle on the boards by both teams which kept the score close.

Top rebounders for the Kendets included Matt DiPerna, John Fichter, Mike Healey, and Austin Hertel.

Jason Miller led the team with 8 points, including the overtime game winner!  Other clutch baskets came from Jeremy Browe, AJ Dibble, Sienna Friedman, Abbi Jenks, Jessica Kyte, Bailee Nelson, Troy Parker, Justin Ryan, and Shawn VanGraafeiland.

Critical steals by Miller, Healey, Jenks, Dibble, and VanGraafeiland helped solidify the win.

The Kendets return to the court Tuesday in Spencerport to take on the Rangers.
