Kendall track teams set for G-R opener

Kendall will open the Genesee Region League track season at Pembroke on Thursday.

The Eagles are led by a veteran group of seniors including Lexi Payton, Sarah Pieniaszek, Katie Wright, Britney Regan, Kristy Mundaniohl, Joey Losapio, Ben Frasch and Jesus Aquirre.

Payton won the Pentathlon at last year’s G-R All-League meet while Wright took third in the 400 Hurdles, Pieniaszek fourth in the Steeplechase, Mundaniohl fifth in the Pole Vault and Losapio fifth in the 400 Hurdles.

The Eagles also had junior Lyndsay Wright place second in the 400 hurdles, junior Hannah Ulman fourth in the Pole Vault, sophomore Damien Sprague fifth in the Steeplechase and eighth grader Bri Wakefield third in the 1500 and fifth in the 800.

May: 11 – at Alexander, 4:30 p.m.; 13 – at Rush-Henrietta Invitational; 15 – at Byron-Bergen, 4:30 p.m.; 20 – at G-R All-League meet at Alexander.
