Kendall tops Holley in softball

Lyndonville regains winning touch

A big eight run second inning scoring burst sparked Kendall to a 9-5 victory over visiting rival Holley this afternoon in a Genesee Region League softball game.

A two-run double by Maria Albanese and a two-run single by Olivia Welch on back-to-back at bats highlighted the decisive uprising for Kendall which also included RBI singles by Taylor Kingsbury, Jorden Ammermen and Sarah Gardner.

Albanese had a total of three hits on the day, two of which were doubles.

Tabitha Swift and Nicki Mauro each had two hits for Holley.

Lyndonville 13, Oakfield-Alabama 6
Getting back onto the winning track, Lyndonville bested Oakfield-Alabama 13-6 in a G-R contest.

Morgan Hungerford had four hits on the day for Lyndonville including a three-run triple in the third inning which snapped a scoreless deadlock.

The Lady Tigers later broke the contest open with seven runs in the fifth inning highlighted by a two-run home run by Maddy Boyle, a run producing double by Jenna Castricone and an RBI single by Rebekah Hoffee.

Lyndonville improves to 4-1 and 6-1 overall.
