Eagles top Tigers to cap G-R title campaign

Capping off a Genesee Region League boys soccer championship season, Kendall downed host Lyndonville 5-0 this afternoon.

Kendall finishes the G-R title campaign with a near perfect 11-0-1 record. The Eagles will take a 14-1-1 overall record into the upcoming Section V playoffs.

The title ends a 10 year drought for the Eagles which last captued the G-R crown in 2014 going 8-0-2.

Kendall jumped out to a 2-0 first half lead on goals by Vinnie D’Agostino and Colby Hughes.

The Eagles capped off the win with three second half goals including 2 by Pablo Rosario-Reyes and one by Will Kludt.

Jonny Conte earned the shutout in goal for the Eagles.

Lyndonville’s totally underclassmen team completed its first regular season back of varsity competition after a year’s absence with a 5-10-1 record. The Tigers will begin sectional competition next week.
