Kendall scored the first two goals and the last two in posting a 4-2 victory over host Albion this afternoon in a non league boys soccer game.

Kendall jumped out to a 2-0 lead by scoring twice in the final 10 minutes of the opening half. Dale Steffen tallied with 8:46 remaining and Hayden VanDusen followed up with a penalty kick goal with 1:33 to go. (Click here to see VanDusen’s goal.)

Albion goalie Omar Peterson dives to try to stop a Kendall shot.

However, Albion came battling back to knot the contest at 2-2.

Alex Gibson got the Purple Eagles on the scoreboard when he found the back of the net with just 41 seconds to go in the first half.

Gibson then netted the equalizer when he scored at 23:16 of the second half.

Kendall though weathered the storm and quickly regained the lead for good just two minutes later when Jacob Esposito scored off a direct kick by Tory Raufeisen.

That same combination clicked again for a big insurance goal for the Eagles with just 2:15 remaining as Esposito scored off another direct kick by Raufeisen.

Kendall, which is now 1-1-1, next hosts Wheatland-Chili in a Genesee Region League game at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Albion, which is 2-2, will visit Wilson at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in a Niagara-Orleans League contest.
