Kendall surges past Lyndonville
A big second period scoring surge keyed Kendall to an 82-42 win over host Lyndonville in a Genesee Region League boys basketball game this evening.
Leading by a narrow 12-8 margin after the opening period, Kendall erupted for a 27-6 second quarter uprising to race away to a commanding 25 point, 39-14, half-time advantage.
Louie Conte, who scored 10 in the opening period, added 10 more to lead the Eagles second quarter uprising which also included 6 by both Austin Werth and Jacek Kwiatkowski, 3 by Zach Barrett and 2 by Hunter Richards.
Keeping the momentum, the Eagles extended their lead to 32, 59-27, at the end of the third quarter.
Barrett hit two threes in the period as Devin Edick, Conte and Kwiatkowski each added 4 points.
Conte finished with a game high 29 as Kwiatkowski added 15, Barrett 14, Werth 9, Edick 8, Richards 4, James Swift 2 and Noah Clark 1.
Ian Mank led Lyndonville with 15 as Jacob Wilson added 8, Trenton Muck 7, Mason Nicholson 6, Justin Higgins 3 and Kevin Travis 1.
In another G-R game, Notre Dame downed Holley 84-50.
In a G-R girls contest, Oakfield-Alabama bested Holley 60-15.
