Eight returning regulars anchor the lineup for the Kendall varsity softball team which is scheduled to visit Medina at 5 p.m. Monday for a non league game before opening Genesee Region League competition at home against Oakfield-Alabama on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
Junior catcher Brooke Rodas, who earned G-R All-Star honors last spring, heads that veteran group which also includes seniors Inez Stangler (Pitcher/Outfield), Ella Christ (Second Base), Lia Larson (Third Base) and Maggie Zastrow (Utility) along with sophomore Sophia Picardo (Outfield) and freshmen Teagan Shaw (Pitcher/First Base) and Izzy D’Agostino (Shortstop/Pitcher).
“We return eight players including six starters so that experience is big for us,” said Coach Jeff Parizek. “Brooke will lead us offensively and defensively.”
Kendall’s graduation losses include pitcher Danielle Offhaus.
The Lady Eagles went 8-12 overall last spring.
