Kendall scores narrow G-R win over Attica
Kendall edged past visiting Attica 65-61 this evening in a Genesee Region League basketball game.
Jacek Kwiatkowski scored 17, Zach Barrett 14, Louie Conte 11 and Devin Edick 10 to lead the balanced attack for Kendall which is now 1-1 in the league and 2-1 overall.
Cole Harding scored 17 and Simon Lamparelli 16 for Attica which slips to 2-3.
Trailing 14-6 after the first period, Kendall rallied back to within one, 32-31, at the half as Barrett scored 9 and Kwiatkowski 6 on two threes to lead the Eagles second quarter comeback.
Keeping the momentum, Kendall rallied into a 46-39 lead at the three-quarte mark as Braxton Zarpentine had a two and a three in the third period.
Kwiatkowski then scored 8 in the final period including four free throws down the stretch to help the Eagles lock up the win.
Kendall next visits rival Holley at 7 p.m. Friday.
Holley dropped an 87-47 G-R decision at Pembroke.
Broek Ostrom scored 25 for the Hawks.
Up 42-30 at the half, Pembroke used a 22-10 third period scoring edge to break the contest open.
In a non league contest, Notre Dame defeated host Barker 87-67.
Aidan Voss scored 13, Brad Cantrell 12 and Aidan Mescall 10 for Barker.
