Kendall scores a doubleheader diamond sweep to complete a 19-1 regular season
Kendall swept to a non league doubleheader baseball sweep over School of the Arts by scores of 11-10 and 11-4 today to complete a near perfect 19-1 regular season.
Kendall scored twice in the seventh inning on RBI singles by Colby Hughes and Sammy Conte in the opener. A double by CJ D’Agostino set up the opportunity.
Hughes finished with 3 hits as CJ D’Agostino, Jonny Conte and Sammy Conte each had 2. Jonas Rhodes had a triple as D’Agostino, Hughes and Nic Cole all had doubles.
In the second game, Kendall scored 2 quick runs in the first inning on a walk and an RBI single by Cole and then broke the game open with 6 tallies in the second inning. Rhodes, Cole and Sammy Conte all had run producing singles in the big frame which also included a double by Mikey Colucci and a single by Cole.
Attica 2, Lyndonville 1
Two runs in the fourth inning proved to be just enough offense for Attica as Blue Devils pitcher Nate Kilian stopped Lyndonville on a no hitter with 14 strikeouts.
Lyndonville’s run came in the second inning on four walks.
