Kendall romps in G-R softball opener
Kendall opened the Genesee Region League softball season with a high scoring 27-12 win over visiting Byron-Bergen this afternoon.
Alea Barrett, Lia Larson and Isabella D’Agostino each had 3 hits and Teagan Shaw 2 to lead the Kendall attack. Shaw drove in a total of 5 runs as Barrett and Larson each plated 4.
In the circle for the Lady Eagles, Danielle Offhaus scattered 8 hits and struck out 9.
In another G-R opener, Pembroke downed Holley 20-5.
Leigha Walker, Ali VanAmeron and Layne Walker each had a pair of hits for Holley.

Trailing 3-0, Byron-Bergen rallied for 4 runs in the fifth inning to nip visiting Kendall in a G-R opener.
Jeremiah Romero led the Bees with 3 hits including a two-run single in the fifth. He also keyed a game winning double play.
