Kendall rallies late to nip Alexander
Coming from behind in the late innings, Kendall rallied to nip visiting Alexander 6-5 in a Genesee Region League game this afternoon.
Trailing 5-4, Kendall pulled even by scoring a run in the fifth inning as Nate Shaw singled and came home on a sacrifice fly by Louis Conte.
The Eagles then pulled out the win by scoring a run in the bottom of the seventh as Jorden Ostrander singled, advanced on a passed ball, and came home on a double by Shaw,
Alexander had scored three times in the fourth to grab the lead at 5-4.
Shaw finished with a total of 3 hits as Ostrander and James Fox each had 2.
Reuben Marquess registered 16 strikeouts and allowed only 4 hits in six and two-thirds innings of work on the mound for Kendall.
The Eagles improve to 4-2 on the season.
