Kendall posts key win over W-C

Maintaining sole possession first place, Kendall nipped visiting Wheatland-Chili 1-0 this evening in a key Genesee Region League boys soccer game.

Riley Iqbal scored the game’s lone goal for Kendall 15 minutes into the first half.

Riley Reis made a couple of key saves to earn the shutout in goal for Kendall which also got a strong effort defensively from Cody Travis.

“It’s a big win, a big win especially with league implications,” said Kendall Coach Brian Duffy.

Kendall stays perfect at 5-0 in the league (9-0 overall) while W-C slips to 3-2 in G-R action.

Kendall next hosts rival Holley for Homecoming at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Holley dropped a 4-0 non league decision at Geneseo this evening.
