Kendall nips W-C; Burgard downs Albion

Kendall trimmed Wheatland-Chili 49-48 in a Genesee Region League game this evening to improve to 1-3 in the league and 2-4 overall.

Nate Warters scored 16, John Rath 12, Mason Kuhn 10, Hunter Menze 6 and Dale Steffen 5 to lead the Kendall offense. Kuhn also had 12 rebounds, Menze 10 and Rath 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 5 steals.

Trailing 21-17 at the half, Kendall used a big 20-11 third period scoring edge to key the win. Warters tallied 9 during that stretch.

Burgard 62, Albion 54
Burgard built up a 27-19 half-time advantage and went on to defeat visiting Albion 62-54 this evening in a non league game.

Deyonci Farley scored 17 to lead Albion as Liam Ward and Vincent Zona each added 8 and Dylan Fox 6.

The Purple Eagles next visit rival Medina at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in a key early season Niagara-Orleans League contest.

Byron-Bergen 50, Holley 45
Trailing 27-24 at the half, Byron-Bergen rallied into a 6 point lead at the three-quarter mark and went on to down Holley 50-45 in a G-R contest.

Kohl Morgan had 13 points, Matt Skehan 10 and Matt Wilson 9 for Holley. Morgan also grabbed off 12 rebounds and John Mounts 10.

Wilson 58, N-W 51 OT
Wilson outlasted Niagara-Wheatfield 58-51 in overtime in a non league game.

Anna Frerichs scored 5 points to help lead Wilson’s decisive 11-4 scoring edge in the overtime period.

Skylar Munnikhuysen took game high scoring honors for Wilson with 23 and Meg Musall added 17.
