Kendall, Lyndonville girls post wins

Kendall blanked visiting Pembroke 2-0 and Lyndonville shutout host Elba 4-0 today in Genesee Region League girls soccer action.

Maya Rutland scored both Kendall goals just three minutes apart midway though the first half off assists from Taylor ReQua and Marisa Hanlon.

Kendall, which has already loced up the Division 1 title, improves to 12-1-1 in G-R action while Pembroke drops to 3-8-3.

Lyndonville got second half goals by Rhiannon Burgess off an assist from Aubrey Lewis, by Lewis from Burgess, by Katie Albone from Rebekah Hoffee and by Gabby Dusett from Lewis to improve to 4-8-1 in G-R competition.

Makenzie Muck earned the shutout in goal for the Lady Tigers making nine saves.


Lyndonville defeated Oakfield-Alabama 25-15, 25-20, 25-21 and Alexander downed Kendall 25-15, 25-20, 25-19 this evening in Genesee Region League matches. No further details were reported.
