Kendall inducts three into Hall of Fame

Contributed Photos – Highlighting this past Friday night’s girls’ soccer game at Kendall was the induction of three new members to the Eagles Athletic Hall of Fame including the 2018 girls soccer team which captured the school’s first state championship. The Lady Eagles won seven straight postseason games that fall capped off by a 1-0 victory over Fort Ann in the state championship game. Head Coach Pam Barchet, right, and Assistant Coach Aleta Martin, left, along with several of the championship team’s players are shown here including T’Mia Kitchings, Katie Pearson, Grace Robinson, Abbi Jenks, Kari Harrier, Kiersten Rodas, Brianna Wakefield and Madison Jacob.

Also inducted was former long time Kendall Coach John King. He is shown at the center along with his wife Renee, daughter Maggie, granddaughter Ada and friends Jim Sauberan and Steve Cliff. He coached soccer at Kendall for 25 years and also volleyball and girls basketball. His varsity soccer trams won over 100 games and captured five Section V titles.

The third inductee was Jenny Cole who was a four year varsity starter for Kendall in soccer, basketball and softball. She was a three-time Genesee Region League All-Star in all three sports. Unable to attend the ceremony she was represented by her mother Karen, sister Lauren who is holding a photo of Jenny, husband Justin Flores and kids Leo and Declan.
