Kendall, Holley score wins at G-R All-League track meet

Kendall’s Taylor Rutland was a double winner in the 200 (:26.9) and long jump (16-3) at the annual Genesee Region All-League track meet held Saturday at Oakfield-Alabama.

The Lady Eagles also had Maya Rutland win the 100 (:12.9).

Taylor and May Rutland also teamed up with Jenna Jacob and Taylor ReQua to win the 400 relay (:50.9).

Jacob also placed third in the 100 hurdles, ReQua fourth in the 100, Maya Rutland fifth in the high jump and Tania Arellano second in the triple jump and fifth in the long jump.

The Kendall boys squad was led by first place finishes by Will Condo in the 400 (:53.57) and Justin Russell in the pentathlon (2143 points).

The Eagles also had Justin Hards place fifth in the 100, Isaiah Brown fifth in the shot-put and Caelen Welch second in the 3200 and fifth in the 1600.

The Holley girls squad had Monica Merlau place second in the 800, Sam Barniak second in the discus, Nicole Blackburn third in both the 400 hurdles and high jump, Lexi Reyngoudt third in the pentathlon, Julia Smith fourth in the 400 Emily Radford fourth in the 3000, and Claudia Passarell fourth in the long jump and fifth in the pole vault.

The Holley boys team was led by Martin Beadle who won both the 1600 (4:38.4) and steeplechase (10:26.2) and placed second in the 800.

The Hawks also had David Weaver and Flint DiLella place third and fourth respectively in the pentathlon.
