Kendall, Holley score sectional track wins

Kendall’s Maya Rutland won the 100 (:12.59) and Taylor Rutland the 200 (:26.05) at the Section V Class C track championships Saturday.

Maya and Taylor Rutland also teamed up with Taylor ReQua and Jenna Jacob to win the 400 relay (:49.91).

Maya Rutland also placed third in the 800 and fourth in the high jump, Taylor Rutland second in the long jump, ReQua fourth in the 100 and Tania Arellano second in the triple jump.

The Kendall boys had Justin Russell place second in the 110 hurdles and fifth in the long jump and Will Condo sixth in the 400.

Holley’s Martin Beadle took first place in the steeplechase (10:19.67) at the Class CC championships. He also placed third in the 800.

The Lady Hawks had Samanatha Barniak place third in the discus, Claudia Passarell third in the pole vault, Nicole Blackburn fourth in the 400 hurdles and Monica Merlau fifth in the 800.
