Kendall, Holley girls post shutouts

Getting back onto the winning track, Kendall built up a 4-0 halftime advantage in route to posting a 9-0 victory over host Elba this afternoon in a Genesee Region League girls soccer game.

Holley likewise posted a shutout out victory blanking visiting Oakfield-Alabama 2-0 this evening.

Maya Rutland scored four goals to lead the way for Kendall which rebounded from a 4-3 loss to Wheatland-Chili earlier in the week to improve to 9-1 in the league and 10-1 overall.

Rutland had the hat-trick early as she netted Kendall’s first three goals, two off assists by Kristen Jacob and one from Taylor ReQua.

Kristen Jacob scored herself later in the half, off an assist from ReQua, to give the Lady Eagles the 4-0 halftime advantage.

Rutland, Coralee Freitag, Annaliese Bosko, Jenna Jacob and Elizabeth Rath then all took turns scoring goals for Kendall in the second half.

Holley 2, Oakfield -Alabama 0
Kristen Nenni and Riley Sanger each scored a goal, both off assists from Sam Barniak, to lead Holley past Oakfield-Alabama 2-0.

Maddy Papaj and Jade Underwood shared in earning the shutout in goal for Holley which improves to 3-6-1 in G-R action.
