Kendall, Holley bow in G-R openers

Kendall and Holley both bowed on the road this evening in Genesee Region League boys soccer season openers.

Wheatland-Chili scored midway through the second 10 minute overtime period to nip visiting Kendall 3-2.

Kendall had tied the game at 2-2 on a goal by Jake Adams late in the second half.

Nate Warters scored Kendall’s first goal in the opening half which ended deadlocked at 1-1.

Kendall, which next visits Byron-Bergen on Friday, is now 1-3 overall.

Byron-Bergen scored twice in the last 12 minutes to down visiting Holley 2-0.

Holley missed a penalty kick opportunity two minutes after Byron-Bergen had scored its first goal.

Holley, which next hosts Pembroke Friday, is now 3-1 overall.
