Kendall has regional soccer honorees

Kendall junior midfielder Hailee Mitchell has been named to the first team of the All Greater Rochester girls soccer squad and Lady Eagles Coach Pam Barchet has earned Co-Coach of the Year honors.

Mitchell, who led Kendall in scoring with 30 goals, was previously named state Class D Player of the Year while Barchet earned Class D Coach of the Year honors.

In addition, Kendall junior center defender Lizzie Sutphen has earned Honorable Mention on the All Greater Rochester squad. She was also a first team Class D All State honoree.

The three helped lead Kendall to its first state soccer championship. The Lady Eagles went 7-0 in postseason competition allowing just two goals and registering five shutouts during that stretch including 2-0 over Cincinnatus in the state semifinals and 1-0 over Fort Ann in the state championship game. Mitchell scored all three of those goals in the state semis and final.

Holley had a trio of players earn Honorable Mention on the All Greater Rochester squad including senior defender Peyton Sargent, junior forward Olivia Radford and sophomore midfielder Halee Passarell. Passarell had 14 goals and 5 assists and Radford 9 goals and 4 assists.

Six Orleans players received Honorable Mention on the All Greater Rochester boys soccer squad including Mickey Gardner from Kendall along with the Holley quintet of forward John Mounts, defender Erik Balys, forward Matt Wilson defender Matt Skehan and midfielder Kayden Servais. All are seniors except Servais who is a sophomore. Wilson led Holley with 16 goals and 10 assists.
